Being Human: What the Voice Teaches Us in the Age of AI
As AI increasingly transforms the way we work and communicate — and even learns to replicate the human voice — what becomes uniquely valuable about being human?
Drawing on my journey from theatre to the corporate world, I explore what fifteen years of working with the human voice has taught me about authentic connection. From the stage, where connection depends on presence, listening, and responding in real time, to my work today as a voice and communication coach for professionals and business leaders, I share why the qualities that make a voice truly human go far beyond the words it speaks.
In an age of artificial intelligence, this is a reflection on what can't be automated — presence, listening, the risk of responding to someone in real time — and why being present, embodied, and genuinely connected to one another may matter more now than it ever has.
Formats

Keynote (30–45 min): either talk above, built for a conference, leadership program, or company all-hands.

Talk + practical exercises (45–60 min): a shorter version of the argument, followed by a live demonstration of what presence and voice actually feel like in the room — no acting experience required.
